Hi I know companies are different from associations but vI saw a show on TV the other night about some guy who started up a company that organises out door racing competitions (rafting triatlons etc.). It was on the Aussie Reality T.V. channel, maybe if you contacted him by getting his info from this channel he could help. Or jsut contact some associtaion from the yellow pages and they could give you some info.

It depends on what level and type of sport club you want to start.

Sport is big business and sponsorship is tight.

Insurance can differ especially with third party venue insurance, some insurance costs are so big they have sent many local sporting clubs broke.

Then you will have to find a venue, applications for land are not cheap and you will have to get heaps of approvals from state and local governments etc

Sydney is a tough gig in that most of the major sports are already covered especially the football codes, unless you have millions forget it.

I dont know what sport you want to handle but Sydney would be a very hard area to break into. they are sports made and very loyal to the various codes.

It has taken Australian rules which is major in Victoria and WA years to break in Sydney , with several MILLION dollars invested.

forget cricket, softball, baseball ,motorcycle racing, table tennis, boxing, wrestling, netball , basket ball, la-crosse, darts, bowling, swimming , in fact you name it ..it will already have a league, an association, or a club structure. Usually amatuer and professional.

Dude if you are asking on YA then you have done FA homework and need to get a serious clue.

I doubt that you even know where Sydney is?

Sydney will swallow you up, chew you and spit you out without a whimper.

Its a big place mate…….. not some little backwater town.

You need to have some serious bucks ( I mean millions) you need to get the rights to host the sport, you need to form an association and get players and then spectators.

In Sydney money talks and BS walks….better start walking!

BTW brain $u *** are you doing asking this question for then?

Shiit they even have a tiddly winks association so *** were you gonna do , wheelchair racing…been done mate
